The poet Paul Celan (1920-1970) wrote a small volume of poems "Atemkristall"
"Breath-crystal" in which he commemorates the victims of the holocaust, creating a
metaphoric landscape within the confines of glacieres, ice and snow.
This film is based on the poem "Weggebeizt" (Etched Away), recited by Paul Celan himself and
visualized on the Turtmann glacier in Switserland.
