Thomas Johannes Coltof

Born in Amsterdam on 6th of July 1958.
Addicted to drawing from the age of 5,he studied painting at
the former Rijksakademie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam
from 1977 to 1983.
Between 1983 and 1987 he worked as a designer and sculptor of
wooden marionettes at the Amsterdam Marionet Theatre.
Since 1987 he works as an illustrator and graphic designer,
his work ranging from children's book illustrations and
cartoons & comics to portraits, technical illustrations and
stage-design.
A noticeable feature of his work is the variety of styles and
techniques employed, due to both a diversity of commissions and
a curiosity for new and unknown forms of expression and representation.
His work includes:

He is married and has two children.
