| | George closes the blinds. Goes back to the armchair. |

| | | It's all these planes and rockets and things and satellites and radio waves. They are cutting the air up into ribbons with millions and millions of waves, people sending messages to Australia, and Africa and South-America and all over the planet, it all cuts up the air into smithereens - bound to have an effect on the weather. |

| | | It was never so cold then. |
| | | GEORGE |
| | | Never. And do you remember the summers? |
| | | CYRIL |
| | | Blazing hot. Started in May and lasted till October. |

| | Der Cowboy schaut verdutzt Richtung Fenster. Auch wenn er da wegen der Vorhänge nicht nach draußen sehen kann, weiß er, es regnet nicht. Er fasst sich aber wieder und kommt zum Punkt: |
