 Meline does not answer, looks at him. Tom stops the car.
  TOM
  That's a simple question, isn't it?
  MELINE
  Yes.
  TOM
  Then why don't you answer it simply?
  MELINE
  I do.
    (looks down)
I do trust you.
  TOM
  Why did you talk to the police then?
 
 
 He takes a cigarette, lights it carefully, very controlled
and very slow. Meline watches him, jumps suddenly out of
the car and runs in some bushes next to the street. Tom
opens his door, looks after her. Then he closes his door
and follows her, glides in the night like a shadow.

  TIM
  I was in it. Swimming. Okay?
  JULIA
  Me too.
      (beat)
  And something touched me.
  TIM
  A waterplant.
      (shrugs)
  Some waterplant probably.
 
  Julia takes a good look at him.
 
  JULIA
  You know it and I know it.
  It's not a waterplant.
  Face it.
